What do I need to fulfill to sell in Germany?

To sell to Germany, you need to register with LUCID, which is simply put a packaging tax system. You need to have a German VAT number or you have to apply for OSS or One Stop Shop system, which greatly facilitates taxation for trade between EU countries.

At the same time, it is necessary to cooperate with a so-called guarantor or partner who will guide you through the obligations regarding licensing (for example, the company Lizenzero) and packaging recycling (Interseroh). The rest is similar to domestic sales.

What are the conditions set by the German Packaging Act?

1. Register in the Central Packaging Register LUCID. After successful registration, you will receive an individual LUCID registration number by e-mail.

2. Then conclude a licensing agreement with a selected dual system (for example, Interseroh+ company Lizenzero). That is, with a collector to whom you will pay for the collection and recycling of packaging.

3. Finally, you state the name of your dual system and report the amount of packaging to your LUCID account.

The TIN is not required elsewhere. It is the Tax Identification Number (TIN), which is used to identify a person with a tax liability. The taxpayer is registered with the tax office under this number.
